Default Thanks for motivating me!

Since reading the post regarding GvG in Crisis, I decided to try and get out there and give it a try

Now, please take into account, this is from my point of view as a PvP newbie, so be gentle and don't burst my bubble just yet please

After floating around for about a week, I've found that finding a guild that GvG's in my timezone (GMT+11) very difficult!

Luckily this weekend was bonus points for Heros Ascent (plus the ZCombat today was also HA) so I decided to take the plunge into HA instead. After sitting in Int Dis 3-5 (of 7!) for quite some time looking at all the Party searches, I decided to take the plunge and run a build I've fiddled around with before.... Ride The Ligthning Now this build is more for farming fame than winning Halls, but I found it a great way to introduce myself to HA. As it's a basic farm build, there's no spamming of "R8+ only!", etc. It also means a lot of the people you are playing with are like me, just trying to get involved.

Now, you may think that running a gimmick RTL team isn't really HA and I admit, it wont get you far. What it did though is, it gave me a visual and tactile experience of the maps you play on and the opponents you will commonly face. These ranged from the decent "Balanced" teams to other RTL, IWAY, BSpike, BSurge and any randomway you manage to be thrown up against.

Now on to the next revelation I came to. Unless you're trying to shove yourself into the high req and uber teams, the people you end up teaming with are quite pleasant to play with and are patient, to a degree. (Don't join a RTL team with no idea on what the build is or how to use it, that's just impolite and asking for a booting.) There's always going to be the occasional "knob" but they usually rage quit and the rest of the team goes on it's merry way without them.

So, in a nutshell..... HA is fun if you don't try and join the "elite/pro" teams without being able to talk the talk or walk the walk. Even going up against them, there was little to no "trash talking/flaming" and even some "thank you's and good lucks" thrown out in all chat.

So again, thanks for motivating me to get out there and give it a try. I hope to see you out there and maybe get to play with you sometime soon!

people say 'gg gl next' sometimes is because they dont want to get ganked by that team when they might see them in halls, most people dont mean it when they say it, it rather pisses the team off if you actually roll them hard(highranked vs highranked).

rtl bspike is not a normal build on a daily basis, i dont know why people ran it for double fame weekend though, any average monkbackline teams should be able to beat these builds no sweat

People ran it because its really easy to pug, matches are short, builds are easy, and inexperienced people can get wins

This ^

As I said, the builds weren't going to win everything but it did give me experience on different maps and against different builds.
